The Gold Breccia Zone:
A High-Priority Gold Target
Another exciting exploration target within the South Mountain Complex is the Gold Breccia Zone. This significant geological feature, measuring approximately 5,800 feet by 1,500 feet, has yielded encouraging gold values from surface rock chip samples (ranging from 0.02 ppm to 5.8 ppm Au) and is associated with a distinct gold soil anomaly (0.02 ppm to 0.71 ppm Au).
The zone is hosted within Potassically Altered Quartz Monzonite, a geological setting that shares characteristics with major gold deposits in the prolific Battle Mountain Complex of Nevada, such as the Phoenix Mine. Delineating the extent and grade of gold mineralization within this extensive breccia zone is a high priority for Thunder Mountain Gold and represents a significant opportunity to add a substantial gold resource to our portfolio.
